Christoph Nakazawa is an Austrian[1] software engineer and engineering manager known for his contributions to the JavaScript and React ecosystems, specifically his work on the Jest JavaScript testing framework which is used by companies such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Stripe.[2] Jest is downloaded more than 20 million times per week and used by hundreds of thousands of front end engineers.[3]

In addition to his work on Jest, Nakazawa has also created popular open-source projects, including Yarn and Metro. He was an early contributor to the MooTools JavaScript framework[4] and led the development of React Native in open source.[5] Nakazawa currently lives in Tokyo with his wife and two daughters.[6]
