Christophe Hitayezu (1988) is a Rwandan Journalist and Media Consultant[1] . He began his career in 2013 as a news reporter in various local media outlets. Among other local, regional and international publications, he has written for Igihe (Rwanda), The Nation Media Group (Kenya), Down to Earth (India), and The Guardian (UK).[2] Born in Southern Province of Rwanda, young Hitayezu studied Rural Development and Agribusiness at the University of Rwanda, though his love and passion for journalism started since his high school days.[3]

One of his contribution that inspired various media practitioners and partners is a social media based training platform for journalists in response to COVID-19. Christophe started a successful WhatsApp group for journalists in Sub-Saharan Africa before COVID-19 even registered as the all-consuming story it has became.[4]
