Christopher Curtis
Christopher Curtis is a composer/lyricist from Braintree, Massachusetts who now resides in New York City.[1] Curtis has written songs for Broadway, including Chaplin The Musical, which has been performed around the world. Curtis also wrote songs for the popular Pearl studio/Netflix animated feature film, Over The Moon, directed by Oscar-winning Disney Animator, Glen Keane.[2][3][4][5][6][4]
The musical Chaplin, played on Broadway and was nominated for eight Outer Critics Circle Awards including ‘Best Musical’ and ‘Best Score’. Chaplin was also nominated for 6 Drama Desk Awards. The newly produced version of Chaplin has played in Russia, Brazil, Germany, Israel, Belgium, Holland, Czech Republic and will open London in 2021. Curtis' new musical Man Upon the Wall is being developed and workshopped in New York.[7][2][3][8][9][10][11] As a musician, Curtis has scored for Film/Television and performed internationally, with such artists as Stevie Wonder.[2][3][6][4]
Curtis holds the distinction of being selected for the Walt Disney Animation songwriter program and the Pearl Studio artists in residence program in Shanghai. Curtis also studied music at The New England Conservatory and the Juilliard School.[2][3][7]
