Christopher J. Holcroft (born June 15, 1953) is an Australian Young Adults and Adult author. His young adult fiction and adult fiction have been published in Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, India, and New Zealand.
Holcroft was educated in Australia where he worked as a newspaper journalist, a senior public affairs exponent, and an Australian Army Reserve Military Public Affairs Officer before his retirement in 2016. He has been an active Venturer Scout leader in charge of teenagers aged 14–18 for more than 35 years.
He drew on his colourful career and wrote three adventure books for young adults and three books dealing with the supernatural and the afterlife for adults.
Holcroft's first novels for young adults, Only The Brave Dare and Canyon, were published in 2008 as a contribution to the centenary of Scouts Australia. They were followed two years later with A Rite Of Passage in 2010 and are all adventure-based.
His first book for adults was Finding Thomas, published in 2011, and deals with near-death experiences. The second was One Last Concert, published in 2013 and deals with moving on spirits of those trapped between earth and heaven. The third book for adults is Time Voyager, published in 2017, and deals with past life regression.
