Early Life

Spaceman, real name Chucks Roberts, born in Lagos and now based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He started rapping in the early 90s. Chucks da Spaceman released his debut album MARCH 26 in 2008, working with Phyno, Flavour and Wizboyy.

He has been a radio host for almost 2 decades now on notable radio stations in Nigeria. From the defunct Cosmo FM, to Beat FM Nigeria and currently OAP and Programs Manager for Cool FM Port Harcourt. He was a finalist in the 'OAP' Category at the Future Awards 2009 Season 4 and season 5 held in Lagos, Nigeria. He is often regarded as the best on-air personality in Nigeria. Spaceman was responsible for curating a Nigerian playlist for Radio Express U.S.A in 2005. Spaceman was a regional judge on MTN Project Fame West Africa for 8 seasons, spotting some of the best homegrown talents.

An influential figure in the Nigerian entertainment space with UN certification on mobile-based communications and advanced technology. He has conducted interviews with top celebrities like US singer Joe, Asa, Harrysong, 2face, Vector, Phyno, Davido. Only recently, Spaceman and his other colleagues received US Consul General, Will Stevens, in Cool FM Port Harcourt, Nigeria, where the CG granted an interview, took pictures with the team and presented Spaceman and other members gifts on behalf of the US Embassy.
