The Church of Epiphany is a Roman Catholic church dedicated to the Three Magi which located at Kuthenkuly in Tirunelveli district and Roman Catholic Diocese of Tuticorin.

Early History[edit]

According to the Jesuits during 1558 itself Kuthenkuly has church and people celebrated the holy mass in the village. In 1715 AD the French mission built a church and dedicated it to the St. John the Baptist and in 1924 the church became a separate parish church and it was reconstructed by the support of Bishop Francis Tiburtius Roche in 1930 and later it was renamed as Church of Epiphany.

Location[edit]

This Church is situated in Kuthenkuly and from here Nagercoil is very near.

Altar of the Church[edit]

The church has a beautiful altar with many attractive works. The left side of the altar is dedicated to St. Joseph and the Right side of the altar is dedicated to St. John the Baptist while the main altar is dedicated to Jesus Christ with a painting of Kuthenkuly as background.

Feast[edit]

The church of Epiphany is one of the three continuous churches in Kuthenkuly. The postis of the Church is also used for many feasts like the holy cross, St. John the Baptist and St. Joseph feasts
