Chvea is one of two Muslim ethnic groups in Cambodia, beside the Chams. They are the descendants of Malays and local Khmers. Contrary to Cham people, they speak Khmer instead of Cham. Their settlement is primarily located in Koh Kong, Sihanoukville, Kampot and Takeo.[1]
