Cilcewydd
Cilcewydd is a village on the right bank of the Severn in Powys, Wales, at grid reference SJ229040, about 3.5 km or 2 miles south of Welshpool, on the A490 road. It is the nearest village to Welshpool Airport. It is the site of Cilcewydd Corn Mill.
The area is represented in the Senedd by Russell George and at Westminster by Craig Williams (both Conservatives).
The village was the site of an early Youth Hostel in the 1930s.[1]
The name of the village appears to refer to St Cewydd, the Welsh rain saint (analogous to St Swithin).
