Cinema Star, officially: Federal network of cinemas "Cinema Star" (In Russian: Федеральная сеть кинотеатров «Синема Стар») is the an Russian cinemas chain in Russia. One of the five largest cinema chains in Russ.

The Company was created in 2005 and has 26 cinemas in 14 cities of Russia and the CIS.

History[edit]

The first cinema theatre of the chain was the Cinema Star in the 20 Vek Kaluga shopping mall in Kaluga in 2005.

Comfort[edit]

The chain's digital cinema theatres are equipped with Christie projectors, Dolby Digital Surround EX, 3D Master Image and light-efficient silver screens. Many of their cinemas are equipped with Dolby Atmos, a multi-channel sound system that brings the screen to life and creates powerful, rich sound. For example, the Cinema Star Theatre on Leninsky in Moscow is the largest cinema in Europe in terms of the number of cinemas equipped with the Dolby Atmos audio system.  The theatres are equipped with comfortable Josper chairs, and one of the chain's innovations is the installation of D-Box chairs to make watching movies as comfortable as possible.

Cinema Star adheres to a flexible pricing policy. Tickets prices vary depending on the day of the week and time of day.
