Circuscompany (Hangul: 주식회사 서커스컴퍼니; stylized as circuscompany) is a South Korean augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) content company headquartered in Gangnam District, Seoul. Founded in 2012, the company develops AR/VR-based educational content and solutions, and operates the children's education platform WAGZAK and the quiz and thinking-game web platform Quiga.[1] In 2017 the company received the grand prize (Minister's Award) of the VR/AR Grand Challenge organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT, and it has supplied AR solutions to more than 120 companies and public institutions.[2]
History
Circuscompany was founded in November 2012 by Park Sunuk in Gangnam District, Seoul.[3] In 2013 the company launched circusAR, a cloud-based augmented reality browser. In 2015 it received the Korea Frontier Award from the Hankook Ilbo.[4]
The company entered the business-to-business market through an AR marketing platform contract with SPC Group, and later supplied AR solutions to companies including Shinhan Bank, Pfizer, Novartis and Sanofi.[2] In 2017 it won the grand prize (Minister's Award) of the VR/AR Grand Challenge hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT.[1] In 2018 the company established a Japanese subsidiary, Circuscompany Japan, in Shibuya, Tokyo.
In 2022 the company launched Artzme, an extended reality (XR) art exhibition and trading service.[5] In 2023 it released WAGZAK, a children's education platform, followed by WAGZAK JUMP, a 3D/AR experiential learning application; in 2025 WAGZAK JUMP was selected as a Google teacher-approved app.[6] In July 2026 the company launched Quiga, a quiz and thinking-game web platform.[7]
