City Smash is an action and sandbox game created by Paradyme Games in July 2019. [1] The game immerses players into a 2D model representing a small section of a city, granting them the ability to interact with it, mainly through destructive actions.
Gameplay[edit]
In the game, users have the option to select the city they wish to destroy. Once a city is chosen, the map loads, and a user interface (UI) appears on the side of the screen, featuring six classifications. Upon clicking one of these buttons, users are presented with additional options, enabling them allows the player to destroy the city through various weapons.
Reception[edit]
The game has been rated 4.8 on the Apple App Store, 4.6 on Google Play. [2][3]
The game has received a 12+ rating on several app stores due to its depiction of fantasy violence and realistic violence. The game also depicts similar scenarios to that of the tragic events that took place during the September 11th attacks in 2001.
City Smash 2[edit]
In January 2021, the Paradyme Games official YouTube channel teased beta testing of a spinoff game for City Smash, depicting the environment in a 3D format, rather than being in a 2D format.
In 2023, the game was officially launched on both the Apple App Store, Googles Play Store, and other miscellaneous app stores. The game's premise involves exploring a city in a 3D environment, while still retaining the same destructive gameplay mechanics as the original game. [4][5][6]
