Biography
Clemente Ciccarelli was born into the Ciccarelli family of Cupra Marittima, in the Marche region of Italy. [1][2][3]
Clemente received training in pharmaceutical chemistry and veterinary medicine.
Ciccarelli, before dedicating himself fully to the family’s pharmaceutical activity, he served as an officer in the Regio Esercito (Royal Italian Army), within the prestigious cavalry regiment Savoia Cavalleria.[2] He took part in the Libyan War of 1911.[3] Much of his life is unknown.[1][2]
Professional Activity
Around 1905, Ciccarelli formulated one of the first ready-made Italian toothpaste pastes, at a time when most dentifrices were still sold in powder form. Pasta del Capitano [1]
This innovation became the foundation for Pasta del Capitano, a product line that later achieved national distribution and remains commercially active.[1][2]
