Clementine is an upcoming trilogy of graphic novels created and written by Tillie Walden. The series serves as both a spin-off to Image Comics The Walking Dead and serve as a continuation of the Telltale Games The Walking Dead, featuring the character of the same name. The comic is scheduled to release in digital stores on June 22 and on comic shops June 28, 2022.
Premise[edit]
Clementine is back on the road and set out, looking to put her traumatic past behind her and forge a new path all her own.
But when she comes across an Amish teenager named Amos with his head in the clouds, the unlikely pair journeys North to an abandoned ski resort in Vermont, where they meet up with a small group of teenagers attempting to build a new, walker-free settlement.
As friendship, rivalry, and romance begin to blossom amongst the group, the harsh winter soon reveals that the biggest threat to their survival might be each other.
Development[edit]
Skybound announced the launch of Skybound Comet on June 24, 2021, a new original graphic novel imprint aimed at Young Adult (Ages 12+) and Middle Grade (Ages 8–12) audiences. It was announced that one of the first three books to begin the imprint would be the first installment of a Clementine series.
Walden's Clementine OGN series will pick up after the events of the game, as she goes back on the road to try to carve out a life for herself. Over the course of the series, Clementine and a new character, an Amish teen named Amos, will journey into Vermont and find a commune of teens set up in an abandoned ski resort.
In August 17, Walden announced the first book is nearly completed and the last two page finished in September 2021.
In October 2021, Skybound released a first look on the comic, Revealing that Lee Everett from the video game will also make an appearance in the comic. By early November, Walden release full look on the comics on her Instagram.
