Clonard Football Club, referred to simply as Clonard, is a Northern Irish football club based in Clonard, West Belfast.[1][2] Clonard F.C. were founded in 1969, and they play in the Northern Amateur Football League.[3] The Clonard II's play in the NAFL Reserves League.[4][5] The Clonard youth academy teams play in the South Belfast Youth Football League.[6][7] Clonard are a part of the County Antrim & District FA.[8] The club play in the Irish Cup.[9][10]
Clonard play their home games at Brook Activity Centre on the Summerhill Road, Dunmurry.[11]
History
Clonard F.C. is a phoenix club for original football club under the same name and within the Clonard area. They had originally formed in 1903.[12] The original club dissolved during WWII.
In 1969, members of the Clonard area reformed Clonard Football Club.
In 1970, Clonard joined the Northern Amateur Football League.[13]
