Cloud7 is an online publication and social community for IT professionals and managers, especially those working in the web hosting, cloud computing, and cyber security industries. Headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey,[1] Cloud7 was launched in 2019.[2] Cloud7 informs readers about the latest IT business trends. In addition to sector and industry news and announcements, it publishes reviews, podcasts, videos, opinions, whitepapers, interviews,[3] advice on best practices, and tools for the needs of decision-makers. Cloud7 is also best known for its Web Hosting Directory module, which helps internet users to select the best web hosting provider regarding their needs.

History

Atalay Kelestemur, who serves as the website's current editor-in-chief, decided to publish Cloud7 after discussion with important figures in the web hosting and cloud computing industries. Cloud7’s official website was developed and published in seven days. The name of the project, Cloud7, was chosen with inspiration from Genesis Creation Narrative. The main purpose of the project was to publish news articles and guides for decision-makers working in the web hosting industry.

With the increasing importance of cloud computing and cyber security, the website started publishing news, reviews, guides, and other content about cyber security, Linux server administration, data centers, IT infrastructures, virtualization, Blockchain technologies, Windows server administration, along with the web hosting industry. The content of articles has generally remained the same, but the topics are not limited to web hosting companies.

Today Cloud7 covers all topics within the scope of the web hosting ecosystem. Cloud7's news and articles have been sourced by many cloud computing and web hosting companies as well as TechRadar[4] among other technology websites covering IT business.
