Club Fútbol Martorell is a club from Spain, more specifically in Catalonia, and plays in the Primera Catalana, which is the 7th Spanish Division.They are affiliated with the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
History
Football first appeared in the city of Martorell in 1908. Later, in the 1920s, the two most important clubs in the city were Catalunya FC and Progrés Martorell CF (the latter belonging to the Progrés society). In 1927, Club Deportivo Martorell (CD Martorell) was founded. During this period, they played in a black and white kit and held their matches at the Era de Buxeres field. A long time later, in 1940, Unión Deportiva Martorell (UD Martorell) was founded, which would become the city's main club throughout the 21st century, until 2002 when UD Martorell and Sporting Martorell merged to create Club Futbol Martorell (Martorell CF). This club would develop promising young players such as, And today, Martorell is a team that stands out for creating great football players, and they continue to excel in Catalan football.
