Terrell J. Cox (born May 29, 1998), known professionally as Cochise, is an Jamaican–American rapper, singer and songwriter. Cox is from Florida, and grew up in Palm Beach, Florida In 2017, as Yung Cochise, he had his first breakthrough viral single with "LET A NIGGA SMASH" with DBangz. In June of 2020, he signed a deal with Columbia Records due to his viral success of his song "Hatchback".

Cox was born in Palm Beach, Florida.
2017: Career beginnings
Cox began his music career in 2017. He was starting to gain a little bit of attention after his meme rap song with DBangz "LET A NIGGA SMASH" was released on Soundcloud in mid-2017.
2018–2019: Pulp and "Hijack"
On May 3, 2018, Cochise self-released his debut mixtape Pulp, with production from Hella Sketchy, Lousho, VashVash. On August 23, 2019 he released his collab EP "Hijack" with Lousho.
2020–present: Hatchback and Benbow Crescent
Following the success of his singles "Red Head" and "Hatchback", Cochise signed to Columbia Records. On May 7, 2021, Cochise released Benbow Crescent, his debut studio album. He later released his song "Tell Em" with rapper $not and it peaked 64 on Billboard Hot 100 which became both rapper's first song to hit the charts. Since his debut project, there has been comparisons between Cox and fellow rapper, Playboi Carti, since they both have a distinguished baby voice, which Carti resembled in 2018.
