Coconut Hounds - Coconut Hound is the affectionate term given to the mixed breed dogs that live on the island of the Dominican Republic. Although Purebred Dominican Coconut Hounds can be found in all shapes, sizes, and colors they are generally distinguished by their massive ears, intelligent behavior and calm demeanor. Similar to the Potcakes that live in the Bahamas, the Dominican Coconut Hound is the typical dog living on the streets in the Dominican Republic.[1]
