Matthew Cody Murray, known professionally as Codes, is an American DJ and record producer based out of Brooklyn, New York.

Career[edit]

Following a successful release on Martin Garrix’s STMPD RCRDS,[1] Codes wrapped up his 20 date “Pleasure Tour” of the same name in early 2018 and released an official Martin Garrix and David Guetta remix of “So Far Away."

Codes’ Bumps EP [2] has received massive support from Austin Kramer and his Spotify team (Fresh Finds, Fresh Electronic, Hot House, FF Basement, Electro Workout, Playa del Carmen de Noche) and continues to climb, nearing 2 million streams as of March 2018. In 2017, Codes released his SOS EP, which broke into the Beatport Top 10 House Releases[3] and has been supported everyone from A-Trak to AC Slater to Walker & Royce.

He has releases with This Ain’t Bristol, Weapons, HedKandi, StrangeLove, Country Club Disco and Slow Roast Records, including a single with 5X DMC champ DJ Craze. Codes continues to constantly produce new music with remixes for labels such as Fool’s Gold, Ultra and Main Course. His latest releases have earned plays from a wide variety of artists like Shiba San, Anna Lunoe, Valentino Khan, Sinden, Golf Clap and Wax Motif.
