Codesmith
Codesmith is an immersive software engineering school with offices in Los Angeles, California, and New York City, New York.[1][2][3]
The company was started in 2015 by Will Sentance and Chad Troutwine, the CEO of Veritas Prep[1][2], and is founded on the same principles as Oxford University’s immersive independent learning paradigm supplemented with mentorship.[1][4] Codesmith's program is designed with the goal of equipping students for mid- to senior-level software engineering jobs within a full-time 12-week or part-time 38-week accelerated timeframe.[4] Computer science, software architecture, and full-stack JavaScript are primary emphases.[1] Since March 2020, all classes have been conducted online due to COVID-19.
In 2016, the company raised $1.1 million USD in a seed funding round led by Troutwine.[1][4]
