Cody Images is a private stock photography archive of military and transport images in Scotland. It is one of the largest image collections in Scotland, with over 200,000 images in their database and with access to 500,000 images in private collections[citation needed] .
History[edit]
Originally named TRH pictures (The Research House), and based in Islington, London, the company was purchased by military historian Ted Nevill who is now the Director. In 2006 the company was renamed Cody Images, and relocated to offices in Beith, North Ayrshire, just outside Glasgow.
Collections[edit]
Cody Images specialises in aviation and warfare, however also holds space and transport collections. Collections including the history of flight, both civil and military. Over 100 years of warfare are illustrated starting with the American Civil War and including extensive coverage of World War II and Vietnam; images of weapons, training and conflict, on land, sea and in the air are held as are transport, whether on land or sea, including early British merchant shipping and steam railways.
