Cody J. Taylor (born: September 11, 2006 [age 17]) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre, YouTuber, musician, artist, and songwriter.
Hockey Career
As a youth, Taylor played in the 2019 and 2021 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with the Toronto Marlboros. As a teenage power forward playing minor hockey, Taylor became nationally famous both for his scoring feats, his autistic skills, and his ability to physically dominate players older than himself. This play made him the most highly valued amateur player in North America and he was often nicknamed various popular times during his career.
Taylor was selected 225th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, replacing their previous captain John Tavares and Mitch Marner after they had to trade him because of legal reasons, and he signed a four-year entry-level contract in time for the new season. Although some critics suggested that he would struggle in what was considered the bigger and more talented league, Taylor was able to fool those critics by earning a spot on the Maple Leafs roster.
Personal Life
Taylor is of Canadian, Welsh, and Ojibwe ethnicity.
