Cody Vatcher was a candidate for Regional Council for Wards 7 & 8 in the 2018 Peel Region municipal elections. He is currently resides in Brampton, Ontario. He was the youngest Candidate for Council in all of Peel Region. He often garnered controversy over his age and lack of electoral and career experiences during the election.

Born in Gander, his parents moved to Brampton, Ontario in or around 2000. He attended school in various parts of the city. There is no evidence as to the exact schools that he's attended but he graduated North Park Secondary School in 2016 before heading to Hertzing Trades (formerly Pre-Apprenticeship Training Institute) to study Electrical.

2018 Municipal Election[edit]

During the 2018 Municipal Election, he campaigned on restoring trust, integrity, and team work to City Hall. He was a fierce opponent of Linda Jeffrey and her team, including his opponent Pat Fortini who is the incumbent for the wards. He ultimately supported Patrick Brown (politician) for Mayor. He also campaigned on standing up to an incumbent who hasn't “stood up for our fair share” and “rolled out the red carpet” for certain health care announcements.
