Coleen Apura Trinidad (born December 26, 2002) is a member of the Filipino idol group MNL48, the fifth international sister group of AKB48. She was promoted as an official member of MNL48 first generation after the departure of several members on June 3, 2018.[1] She is currently a member and the ace of Team NIV
She is popularly known for her Tiktok videos with over 1 million followers on her account and is currently the most followed MNL48 member in the app and other social media pages.[2]

Promotion as MNL48 official member[edit]
Coleen started as a trainee (kenkyuusei) for the first generation. Four trainees including Coleen, Rans, Nina, and Andi were promoted as official members of MNL48 first generation after the announcement of former members, Trixie, Zen, Van, and Mae, departing from the group on June 8, 2018 during their online segment MNLife. Coleen was then assigned to Team NIV.[1]
Senbatsu and Coupling Songs[edit]
Coleen first got into the senbatsu for their 2nd Single Pag-ibig Fortune Cookie.[3] Team NIV was chosen for the coupling song Palusot Ko'y Maybe with Coleen appointed for the center position. She was chosen again in the senbatsu lineup for their 3rd Single 365 Araw ng Eroplanong Papel, a single that was one of the bases for the votes of the second general election.[4][5]
In the second general election,[6] Coleen ranked #18 and became part of the undergirls. Sayaka Awane (rank#5) of Team MII announced her graduation on June 3, 2019[7] which caused changes in the rankings. Althea Itona ranked up from #17 to #16, losing her center position in undergirls, filled up the spot of Sayaka in senbatsu. Coleen ranked up from #18 to #17, becoming the new center of undergirls and the coupling song Gingham Check for their 4th Single Ikaw ang Melody.[8]
On January 26, 2020, Team MII's Faith Shanrae Santiago had her graduation concert at Movie Stars' Cafe.[9] Coleen filled up Faith's position in the MV of their 6th single High Tension.
On February 16, 2020, it was announced that MNL48 will be releasing their 7th single River. Coleen was chosen for senbatsu.[10]
Acting[edit]
Coleen will be starring in the live-action adaptation film of the Japanese manga Sekimatsu Blue with co-member Abby Trinidad as the lead.[11]
Popularity[edit]
On December 19, 2019, Coleen uploaded a Tiktok video of her doing a fun face with the audio of Buttercup by MixAndMash . The video became famous and reached 9 million views with 680K+ likes on her Tiktok Account.[12] The exact same video was also uploaded on her Facebook account and have reached over 7 million views with 300K+ Likes and 200K+ shares.[13]
With her video being viral, this increased her popularity and eventually become the most followed MNL48 member in all of their social media accounts.[2] She currently has 1.4 million followers on Tiktok, 580k+ on Facebook and 180K+ on Instagram.
