'Collaboration - On the Edge of a New Paradigm?' is a 2014 documentary created as part of Alfred Birkegaard’s PhD in Philosophy, first presented as an official selection at the Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival.[1][2][3]. The PhD was founded by Danish company Novozymes[4].The film explores the possibilities for science and knowledge creation that can be achieved from the combination of collaboration and new communication technologies, while the function of the educational system is being reflected upon within a new context driven society [5][6][7]. Other issues discussed in the film includes the negative aspects of classic R&D environments and the patent system [8]. The film is divided into 10 chapters and It features a number of prominent philosophers and leading practitioners in the field of collaboration[9]

The cast includes Vint Cerf, Elizabeth Stark, Douglas Thomas, Hubert Dreyfus, Terry Winograd, Howard Rheingold, Heather Heino, Joseph Jackson, Cameron Neylon, Hugh Rheinhoff, Malthe Borch, Gernot J. Abel, Ejner B. Jensen, Eddan Katz and Birger Lindberg Møller.
