Career
Theatre
Madden has been a core company member of American Players Theatre (APT) since the mid-1990s. Over the course of her tenure, she has appeared in dozens of productions, frequently in leading roles in works by Shakespeare, Chekhov, and other canonical playwrights.[4]
In 2018, Madden starred in the one woman play The Syringa Tree at APT. Writing for Isthmus, critic Scott Gordon praised her performance, describing it as emotionally expansive and technically assured, noting her ability to inhabit multiple characters while sustaining narrative momentum over the course of the production.[5]
Beyond APT, Madden has appeared with a range of theater productions, including Forward Theater Company in Madison, Wisconsin, where she has performed in both classical and contemporary works.[6]
