Colleen Wasinger is an American attorney and Republican member of the St. Louis County Council.[1] She has represented the third district since 2006.[2]
Early life and career[edit]
Colleen Wasinger received her bachelor's degree in paralegal studies from Southwest Missouri State University.[3] She then received her M.B.A and law degree from St. Louis University.[1] She is now an attorney[2] who focuses on real estate investment and property rights.[1] She has two children and is married.[1] She attends the St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church.[1] She was the 2006 Town and Country person of the year.[1] She is on the Women and Children Advisor Board of the St. John’s Mercy Foundation and the Community Advisory Board of the Missouri Baptist Hospital.[3]
Political career[edit]
From 2005-2006 she was on the Town and Country Board of Aldermen.[3] She is the member of various committees in St. Louis.[2] She is also a member of the St. Louis County Council.[1] She has represented the third district, which contains about 145,000 people, since 2007.[1]
In 2018 she sponsored a bill to end a requirement for apprenticeships in construction contracts[4] and announced she would not be running for re-election[5] but would consider running for the County Executive role.[6]
