College of Contemporary Health

The College of Contemporary Health (CCH) is an online college based in London. Established in 2013, CCH trains health care professionals mainly in the disciplines of obesity care and weight management. This is achieved primarily through postgraduate courses, and through continuing professional development (CPD) accredited short courses. CCH has also developed bespoke courses for the London Borough of Southwark, with the aim of improving public health in the borough through obesity care and weight management education. The initiative was officially launched on the 1st of August, 2018.

Degree validation[edit]

The governance of CCH rests with its board of directors who guide the institution. Oversight and direction for academic offerings, policies and approaches is provided by experts in obesity management, and education through the members of the Academic Advisory Board (AAB). CCH postgraduate courses are currently awaiting re-validation. Students can pursue education with CCH up to the Masters degree (MSc) level.

Publications[edit]

Several publications were contributed by CCH to scientific journals. So far, the subjects covered include the individual, societal and economical impact of obesity.[1], obesity data collection and organisation[2], treatment of adolescent obesity[3], and the impact of obesity on reproductive health[4]
