Collin Bowman (born June 13, 1991) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman. He is currently playing with the Vienna Capitals of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (EBEL) in Austria.

Early life[edit]

Bowman was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and was raised in Littleton, Colorado, after his family moved in the early 1990s. His father, Mark Bowman, owns a financial consulting company in Colorado. His older brother, Drayson, is also a hockey player and went on to also compete in the Western Hockey League with the Spokane Chiefs, the Charlotte Checkers and Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League, and in the National Hockey League with the Carolina Hurricanes and the Montreal Canadiens.

While in Littleton, Bowman attended Deer Creek Middle School. In 2003, he and his family moved once more to Vancouver, British Columbia, to better his opportunities in hockey.

Playing career[edit]

Junior[edit]

Bowman played for the Kelowna Rockets, Moose Jaw Warriors, and the Calgary Hitmen.

Professional[edit]

Bowman played for the Ottawa Senators in the 2009 Rookie Tournament,[1] and was signed by the New York Rangers in 2011,[2] but never played in the NHL. In the 2014–15 season, he played for the Iowa Wild and the Colorado Eagles. In the 2015–16 season, he played for the Rochester Americans and the Eagles, the first three games together with his brother Drayson.[3] In 2016, Bowman went to Europe, signing with the Vienna Capitals.[4]
