Collin Dueno

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Collin Dueno (born June 13th, 1994) is an openly gay American singer/songwriter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin who first gained recognition from auditioning for season 10 of American Idol. [1] He appeared on season 10, episode 3, but did not continue on the show. After American Idol, Collin began his YouTube music career. His first claim to recognition was a medley of songs by the singer Cody Simpson. He then became popular within the Simpson fan base. His most viewed video, with 34,000 views, was a cover of Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away". [2] Shortly after the success of those videos, Dueno removed his YouTube page due to ridicule from classmates in high school (Roncalli Catholic High School, Manitowoc, Wisconsin). [3] Many thought that Collin had given up on being in the public eye with music, but three to four years later he returned to the scene. His interaction with some of his more well-known and famous friends on social media brought him back into the spotlight. In the summer of 2014, a radio competition titled "WIXX Big Break" was announced online, revealing that he was a finalist. [4] The winner of the competition would then go on to open in concert for the popular band MKTO. His large following on Twitter went into full support for him. Although he did not win the competition, he soon after announced that he had invested in a large project to bring forth his debut professional single "Back To You". [5] Since his announcement, many labels and producers have been publicly reaching out to him, but so far he remains independent with the same producer. Much talk is surrounding the debut of his first single "Back To You", due out by the end of 2014.
