Colour Youth is an LGBTQ+ youth group and charitable organisation based in Athens. The group was established in 2011 with the goal of “creating” a space for LGBTQ youth to better express themselves and assert their rights! The group’s activities include holding weekly meetings, providing mental health services for LGBTQ+ victims of discrimination or violence, as well as legal defense, among others.[1]
The group operates the “Πες το σ’ εμάς” (Pes to s’ emas, “Tell it to us”) campaign, a program [...] that aims to record incidents of homophobic, biphobic, and transphobic violence and discrimination and provide victims with counseling and legal support.[2][3] As part of a coalition of NGOs, Colour Youth has also participated in the EU-funded “Come Foreward” project aimed at combating anti-LGBTQ+ hate crimes and raising awareness.[4]
