Colourplay Games is an independent video game development studio based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Founded around 2022, the studio originally focused on developing 2D mobile games before transitioning to PC development using the Unity engine.[1]
History
The studio's early projects included a number of 2D mobile games such as Jump o Josh, Highway Speedsters, and Skate Gunner. These titles were later removed from distribution following the studio’s shift toward PC development.
In 2023, Colourplay Games began developing games for PC using the Unity engine. The first 2D PC game developed in Unity was Maskman’s Adventure, which was later delisted following the release of the studio’s first 3D game, Redloner.[2] This left Arow! as the only publicly listed 2D PC game before it too was eventually removed.
With the release of Father’s Will, the studio officially delisted all its pre-Unity 2D mobile games. Later, following the release of Customer Support, the studio also removed Arow!, its only remaining 2D PC game, from its Itch.io page.
Arow has been delisted with the release of dressing room. Alongside father’s will and somnus
Team
Colourplay Games is operated by a small team of three developers.[3] Most projects are developed solo by individual members of the team, though certain titles, such as Internal Use Only, are collaborative efforts.[4]
Distribution
The studio distributes its games primarily through its official Itch.io page
