ComForCare Health Care Holdings, LLC is a provider of non-medical in-home care services in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.[1] The company’s corporate headquarters is located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. It operates a subsidiary in Houston, Texas known as At Your Side Home Care.[citation needed]

The company offers services to help older adults with everyday activities such as grooming, preparing meals and transportation.[2]  The home care company also offers programs for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, such as DementiaWise®.[3]

Mark Armstrong founded ComForCare in 1996 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. ComForCare began franchising in 2001.[4] In July 2017, The Riverside Company, a global private equity firm, acquired ComForCare.[5] In October 2018, Kindred at Home signed a preferred partnership agreement with ComForCare.[6]

Steve Greenbaum was named CEO in January 2018; Armstrong now serves as chairman of the board.[7] Steve Greenbaum is on the board of directors of the Home Care Association of America (HCAOA).[8] Steve Greenbaum was also featured in season four of CBS’s “Undercover Boss” with his previous company, PostNet.[9]

In February 2018, CarePatrol – a senior placement franchise – joined the ComForCare platform.[10] CarePatrol has more than 150 offices in forty states with local senior care advisors who work with to find assisted living, independent living, memory care, nursing homes and in-home care.[11]
