Completely Free Dating is an online dating site based in the United Kingdom. It offers a free service to people living in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. The site generates revenue through advertising from Google Adsense.
Overview
Completely Free Dating is a general purpose dating website launched in 2006 for people living in the UK with the idea that being able to find love online should not cost anything. It facilitates both heterosexual and same sex relationships. The majority of its members are between 40 and 60 years old and as of April 2019 it approximately 150,000 registered members.
The site is hosted with AWS using a variety of its services, is coded using CFML and powered by the FOSS Lucee application server.
History
Founded in 2006 by husband and wife team Andrew and Deborah Dixon, who continue to be its only two employees, offering their dating service to people in the UK. In 2009 they expanded its operation to Ireland[2] and then to Australia and New Zealand in 2011[3]
