University of Computer Studies, Pathein (Burmese: ကွန်ပြူတာတက္ကသိုလ် (ပုသိမ်) old name: Computer University, Pathein) is located in (9) region, Htin Poneseik quarter, Pathein, Ayeyarwady Region, Myanmar. The university, administered by the Ministry of Education, offers undergraduate degree programs in computer science and technology. Other Information Technological University in Ayeyarwaddy Region are Computer University, Hinthada and University of Computer Studies (Maubin). It is situated near the Pathein Suspension bridge.
History[edit]
Originally founded as the Government Computer College (GCC) in the 4th September, 2000. The college campus was located at Lwonkan quarter, Pathein Township, Ayeyarwady Region, Myanmar. The college was promoted as the University of Computer Studies (Pathein) in 20th January 2007. The new university campus locates near the pathein bridge was opened in 22th April 2010. Since then the university moved to that new location. Rector is Prof. Khin Marlar Tun.[1]
Ei Phyu Zaw has presented her paper, titled Machine Learning Based Live VM Migration for Efficient Cloud Data Center, in First International Conference on Big Data Analysis and Deep Learning Applications (ICBDL 2018)[2] The international community also have a good review of the university's product, the students.[3]

- The university will build the best in learning and research that will benefit to the local with quality-based curriculum and research-based teaching and learning.
- The university will develop the professional human resources for the sustainable development of the nation by opening the computer science and technology courses and Lifelong learning programs.
- The university will actively cooperate with domestic and foreign universities and organizations by implementing the university development plan.
