Concepts of Physics is a calculus-based physics textbook. The book was first published in 1992. The book was first taken to McGraw-Hill Education for publication but they refused to print it. Later, H. C. Verma, along with his friends from Patna University, took it to Bharati Bhavan, which agreed to print it. It is published as a two-volume set roughly covering the physics syllabus of class XI and class XII. The book is popular among students preparing for competitive exams, especially the Joint Entrance Examination.[1] The first volume covers mechanics, waves and optics, and the second volume covers thermodynamics, electromagnetism, modern physics and relativity.
