Lincoln Cortez Velasquez, (born October 27, 1991), popularly known as CongTV, is a Filipino web-based comedian, YouTube personality and vlogger.[1] He has garnered more than a million subscribers on his channel[2]

Career[edit]

YouTube[edit]

Cong created his channel and uploaded his first video which is a music video parody of a track by Silent Sanctuary back in 2008,[3] he continuously uploaded videos until he started to get attention by creating parodies and reaction videos about the recent and viral stuff in the Philippines. Velasquez also makes vlogs which always trend in the YouTube PH platform trending list.[1] He also makes a series called 'Sampung Utos' where he lists the top ten rules of something he talks about.[4]

Personal life[edit]

Velasquez is currently in a relationship with fellow vlogger Viy Cortez,[5][6] whom he influenced to start her own YouTube channel. Cortez also surpassed 100,000 subscribers and the 'Silver Play Button'. His brother, Marlon, known as Junnie Boy, also has a YouTube channel with almost 300,000 subscribers. The siblings are seen as a comedic duo most of the time in their videos. He is also a known friend of vlogger and television personality Wil Dasovich who had mentioned him several times in his own vlogs and even made a reaction video of one of his videos.[7][8][9]

Velasquez also owns 'Cong Clothing', a clothing line where he sells his merchandise and designs about his trademark lines from his videos.[6] [10][unreliable source?] He also has an app entitled "Itanong Mo Kay Cong", which was released in his vlog entitled "BALITA"
