Conna Nagle (born 1982) is a New Zealand-born entrepreneur living in Newry, United Kingdom. [1] She is the founder of Enhanced Hair Studio, a chain of studios that specialise in hair loss and hair extensions. She is also the founder of Enhanced Hair Creations, a retail business selling hair care products, brushes and heated styling tools. [2] [3]
Early Life
Conna was born in Wellington, New Zealand. [1] At the age of 16, Conna followed her vocation into hairdressing straight after school, starting training at Exeter College and then continuing her studies moving back to New Zealand at the New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology. In 2015, Conna moved to Northern Ireland and started to branch off from mainstream hairdressing to pursue a career in hair loss solutions. [3]
Career
Conna has been in the hair industry since 1998. [4] She founded Enhanced Hair Studio, a female hair loss and extension specialist in Newry, Northern Ireland in 2017. She quickly built up a good reputation by becoming the runner-up finalist in the 2018 Belfast Telegraph’s SME Healthcare Business of the Year [5] as well as a finalist in the Women In Business for “Small Business of the Year.’ [2] In 2019, with the success of her studio, she started to branch out into different streams by providing a hair care treatment range. Conna’s success continued as she was then awarded a place in the prestigious North Ireland 40 Under 40 list of 2019, which acknowledges the most inspiring and influential business leaders in Northern Ireland [6] [3]. In 2020, Conna expanded the Enhanced Hair Studio brand by opening their second Enhanced Hair Studio in Belfast. Later that year, she launched Enhanced Hair Creations, which led to Conna being nominated as a Finalist in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards for Fashion and Beauty Entrepreneur of the Year. [2]
In Popular Culture
Conna has been featured in many newspapers[4] [2][1] and magazines for her work with Enhanced Hair Studio. In 2018, Conna Nagle starred on Don’t Tell the Bride (Ireland), an Irish TV series, in which her partner had to organise their wedding within a 3-week time limit and budget of €10,000. Being based in Belfast, her partner opted for a Narnia-themed wedding inspired by Northern Irish Author C. S. Lewis due to their love of adventure and travel. [7]
