History
«Conquest» was created in 1996 in Charkiv, Ukraine, as the studio solo project of guitarist W.Angel and introduced from itself a classical hard rock with a strong influence of «Def Leppard» band. By the end of 1997 a band was recruited in the new command and in January of 1998 they gave a first concert. In 1998, the band played many concerts, among which «warming up» was the legends of the Russian rock scene - the band «Aria».
After some changes in the squad, the band takes a new course on the more hardly and faster way of rock music - Euro power metal. First album of group was published by the Russian company «Iron Rec» and was created exactly in this style. The second album «Frozen Sky» was released by the independent Ukrainian label «Musical Hall Distribution» and contained not only the energy and power of the previous album, but also somewhat more melodic vocal parts. Playing the songs from first two albums, a band have stayed one of the most famous and actual metal groups in Ukraine.
During 2008, the band played a lot of significant concerts for itself - a joint concert with the group «Epidemic» in Odessa, participation in the largest at the time bike festival in the country - «Goblin Show», where the group was the headliner of one of the days, participating in the international festival «Pro Rock», in which the band «Rage» took part, and the band was invited for two concerts in Poland (Warsaw and Krakow), where it took part in the Swedish «Sabaton» group's tour performances. In spring 2009, a band have taking a participation in the performance of Norwegian group «Sirenia».
The next album entitled «Empire» was released in the autumn on the Russian label «Metalism Records». On January 13, 2010, the band presented to the general public a new Internet single «Be My Light». In early 2011, the group decided to change its name to «W. Angel's Conquest», which is connected with legal moments - in the world there are several more groups called «Conquest» and thus the group has shielded itself from possible claims related to the title.
In December 2011 the album «IV» was released, thanks to the efforts of the labels «Quarter Century Flame» (Japanese division of Warner Music) and «Metalism Records», in Japan and the CIS respectively.
In the summer of 2015, with the help of the European label FERRRUM, was realised the album «Taste Of Life», quite warmly received by the fans and the press.
During 2016 the band experienced a rather difficult period, and at the beginning of 2017 the collective gained a stable command with whom began to conduct active concert activity and currently working on the creation of new material.
