Conroy Stewart
Conroy Stewart (born September 16, 1993) also known as Stoo-ie,[1] is a Canadian artist from Mississauga Ontario.[2] Stewart appeared in the television series Da Kink In My Hair where he played the character Dre.[3][4][5] Since then, he has also embarked on a rapping career.[6][7][8] In 2014, Stewart created “Live From The 905", a nightclub company.[9].
Career
Stewart was born in St Andrew, Jamaica and immigrated to Canada with his mother in 2006.[10] Stewart began his professional career by appearing in various television commercials and print ads.[10] Thereafter, he starred in the YTV competition-style show Ghost Trackers, in which he won his season. In 2012, Stewart played as Blair on Global’s Police Drama, Rookie Blue.[5] He then starred as Dre in Global’s series Da Kink In My Hair.[3] Apart from his acting, Stewart has also worked at a local Mississauga internet radio station, The Haze FM and has created and hosted live events within the GTA,[8][11][12] and has been nominated for a Marty Award.[2]
Live From the 905 (LFT905)
“Live From the 905” is a Mississauga based brand that was established in 2014 by Stewart.[9] LFT905 works with various nightlife venues across Mississauga and surrounding areas.
