Consort Hui (Kangxi)

Consort Hui (慧妃) of the Khorchin Mongol Borijgit Clan is a Concubine of the Kangxi Emperor. She and the Kangxi Emperor are Cousins.

According to Qing palace archives, Consort Hui entered the palace on the month of September during the eighth year of Kangxi. On the day she entered she was given the title Imperial Concubine Hui (慧嬪) And on November the same year she was created the master of the harem. On the ninth year of Kangxi, she died of illness and the Kangxi Emperor bestowed her the title of Consort Hui (慧妃).
Since the Jingling mausoleum have not yet been built, the coffin of Consort Hui was temporarily housed in the Palace. In the twentieth year of Kangxi, the Jingling mausoleum was finally built and in November that same year her coffin was moved to the Jingling Mausoleum along with Empress Xiaochengren and Xiaozhaoren. On the day of the funeral, the Kangxi Emperor was said to have personally went to the tomb of Consort Hui to have a drink. On the twenty-fifth year of Kangxi, he went once again to her tomb and mourned.
