Contemporary China Publishing House
Contemporary China Publishing House (Chinese: 当代中国出版社), or Contemporary China Press, a publishing entity of the People's Republic of China, is associated with the Institute of Contemporary China of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and is situated at No. 8, Jingyongli, Di'anmen West Street, Xicheng District, Beijing.[1]
History
On January 31, 1991, the Press and Publication Administration of the People's Republic of China (Chinese: 中华人民共和国新闻出版署) granted approval for the establishment of the Contemporary China Press.[2] Contemporary China Publishing House disseminates publications on politics, economics, science and technology, culture, and education, incorporating research findings on national history and significant historical research materials. It also publishes the Contemporary China (jornal) series, the Contemporary China Biographies series, and the A Brief History of the People's Republic of China by Localities series, among others. Furthermore, it oversees the production of Studies in Studies in Contemporary Chinese History.[3][4]
