Contigo Dios is the debut studio album by Dominican Christian singer Lilly Goodman. It was released in January 2001, through Bohuco Music, and was produced by Juan Carlos Rodríguez and Snider Espinosa.
The album marked the beginning of Goodman's musical career; the songs "Iglesia," "No importa," "Puede ser," and "Adicta" enjoyed heavy airplay outside the Dominican Republic, gaining popularity among Christian radio stations in Latin America and the United States.
Background and recording
Goodman began her ministry participating in various local and district activities and occasionally recording singles for radio and television, gaining national recognition. At 17, Goodman decided to begin her studies to earn a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree, but she dropped out to pursue her music career, as she founded and directed her church's worship team.
The album was recorded in 1999 in Sound Factory Studio, located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
