Cooking Simulator is a simulation cooking game developed by Big Cheese Studio. It was published by PlayWay S.A.[2] on June 6 2019 on Steam.
Gameplay[edit]
Cooking Simulator uses advanced physics and cooking mechanics to simulate realistic cooking experience. In its current state the game allows the player to prepare over 80 recipes using more than 140 ingredients. There are various game modes including Career Mode, Sandbox Mode, Cooking School and Leaderboard Challenge, Winter Holidays, SUPERHOT Challenge. In Career Mode the players takes control over a rundows kitchen and is progressively earning fame and experience levels by serving dishes according to upcoming orders. The goal is to reach 5th Fame Star. Sandbox Mode is a free play mode giving immediate access to all the recipes, ingredients and decorations the game has to offer. Cooking School is a series of tutorials explaining all the game mechanics. Leaderboard Challenge is a game mode in which players compete by trying to prepare a single dish according to the recipe. Each dish has its own scoreboard. Winter Holidays added as a free update offers new kitchen and allows to serve a dinner to a number of guests by preparing dishes containing requested ingredients. SUPERHOT Challenge is the newest mode added as a free update on February 25th 2020 inspired by SUPERHOT to celebrate it's 4th anniversary on Steam.[3] It modifies the appearance of products, untensils and kitchen and introduces a new mechanic that slows down the time when the player's not moving.

Reception[edit]
The game received very positive reviews from the players. According to Steam store page on February 26th 2020, the game has 82% positive reviews from the total of 4579 user reviews.[6] The positive focus on the game's unique idea, advanced cooking mechanics, funny mishaps caused by the physics engine and free content updates. The main issues highlihted in the negative reviews are bugs and difficult controls.
Due to its initial flaws Cooking Simulator received mixed reviews from gaming press. It scored 64/100 on Metacritic[7] based on 4 reviews by PC Games 7/10[8], GameStar 65/100[9], Screen Rant 60/100[10] and The Overpowered Noobs 60/100[11]
