Idea
Copernicus Berlin has the name of the 16th-century scientist Nicolaus Copernicus, who invented the idea of the heliocentric world. Heliocentric world idea has a strong emphasis on Copernicus Berlin's internal philosophy. Which means, in Copernicus Berlin’s perspective, everything must spin around having a sustainable world. The association carries this idea to the world by its goals, objectives and tasks.
Mission
For reaching its vision of a sustainable world, Copernicus Berlin gives opportunities to youth and adults to get non-formal and formal education through its international and national programmes and projects which are in the forms of seminars, workshops, internship programmes and scholarships (IES program, LF-program, SYP, PTE[1], DCM).
Values
Copernicus Berlin strives to create a sustainable future and for that, the association builds a worldwide network of ambitious people. The association has an important task to eliminate the social inequalities between the developed West and the developing East. Its projects are also aimed to contribute to the creation of a tolerant society, symmetrical democratization and sustainable economy in the long run. Values such as equality, progress, networking, open-mindedness and inspiration are vital for Copernicus Berlin.
Activities
