Corey Christopher Smith (born April 15, 1982 in Plainfield, New Jersey) is an American professional baseball third baseman with the Somerset Patriots of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. An infielder, Smith has played in minor league baseball since 2000. Smith is currently a member of the Birmingham Barons, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.

Before being selected by the Cleveland Indians with the 26th overall pick in the 2000 Major League Baseball Draft, Smith attended Piscataway Township High School. Smith hit 19 home runs for the Akron Aeros in the 2004 season, before departing the Indians organization as a minor league free agent.

In 2005, he played for the Mobile Bay Bears in the San Diego Padres organization and in 2006 with the Birmingham Barons in the Chicago White Sox system.

After playing independent league baseball with the Newark Bears in 2007 and helping them win the 2007 Atlantic League championship, he returned to affiliated ball and hit 26 home runs for the Arkansas Travelers (Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim) in the 2008 season. In 2009 he played for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals in the Kansas City Royals system.

He was signed as a minor league free agent by the Los Angeles Dodgers for 2010 and was assigned to the Chattanooga Lookouts in the Double-A Southern League and was selected to the mid-season All-Star game. In 115 games he hit .275 with 13 home runs and 86 RBI for the Lookouts. He earned a spot on the Post-Season All-Star team. In 2011 he was in 54 games for the Lookouts and 66 for the AAA Albuquerque Isotopes, hitting .261 combined with 10 home runs and 46 RBI.

On January 4, 2012, Smith signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox.
