In 1996, CWS President and ‘Chief Happiness Officer’ Alan De Keyrel[4] started CWS as a home business offering web hosting and design services with himself as the only employee. De Keyrel incorporated the business in 1997, and in 1998 moved the company to its first office and began hiring additional staff.[5] Since then, CWS has grown to nearly 20 employees[6] with an additional office in Phoenix, Arizona.[7]

Key Clients[edit]

CWS works with local clients as well as organizations from around the world. Notably, the firm has partnered with Mayo Clinic to provide services on a variety of web-based projects and initiatives.[15]

In 2015, CWS entered into an exclusive license agreement with Mayo Clinic for the Well-Being Index, an interactive online self-assessment tool that measures distress and well-being among professionals.[15][16] Along with developing the web application software, CWS markets the Well-Being Index to healthcare organizations internationally and works closely with hospitals, institutions, associations, and academic medical centers to implement the tool.
