Cottonwood Media is a French production studio that produced animated series and live-action series such as the Find Me in Paris franchise. It is owned by French production group Federation Studios through its division Federation Kids & Family.
The company had its beginnings in September 2014 when former co-founder & general manager of Zodiak Media-owned French animation studio Marathon Media David Michel launched an indie production company based in Paris and Los Angeles named Cottonwood Media. The new company would focus on premium scripted content.[1]
In June 2015, Federation Entertainment acquired Cottonwood Media to create a strategic partnership. Federation Entertainment acquired a majority stake in the animation & live-action production studio, effectively reuniting Cottonwood Media's co-founder David Michel with Federation's co-founder Pascal Breton as the former became Federation Entertainment's head of kids & family content & sales as he continued leading the company.[2]
