Council of International Schools (CoIS) is a global, non-profit membership organization having domicile in the State of Delaware, US but may have other branches outside Delaware. It was founded in 2003[1]. The community works collaboratively to provide professional services to schools and individuals.[2]

CoIS is accredited by the International Council Advancing Independent School Accreditation (ICAISA).[3]

Purpose[edit]

The council aims to inspire the development of global citizens through high quality international education by connecting ideas, cultures, and educators worldwide.[4]

Financial Support[edit]

The organization gets its financial support from funds raised by their membership fees, donations, capital funds and yield including other sources, as published by the council.[4]

Workshops[edit]

CoIS has created workshops to raise awareness about the issues such as child abuse, violence, mental health related issues, etc for the betterment of practices in schools and universities, aimed to provide safe and supportive environment for the students.
