Courrier Sud is a French music project originally from Casablanca, created in 2018 and led by multi-instrumentalist musician Rayane Kara.[1] · [2].
On tour, he is accompanied by various musicians.
Biography
Rayane Kara is originally from Casablanca, Morocco. He founded Morocco's first experimental music collective, V.I.V., in 2017.[3] · [4] · [5].
In 2018 he founded Courrier Sud, a pop music project, and in 2019 released Dreams, which was quickly picked up by several American and European media outlets and featured in the top Hype machine[6] · [7] · [2] · [8].
In March 2020, Courrier Sud released his first title in French, Sur Ma Bossa, on music label Kitsuné[1].
During the year 2020, the French group Bon Entendeur closed two of their mixes with the Courrier Sud tracks Dreams and You Be The Sun. In October of the same year, Courrier Sud participated in the first compilation of Bon Entendeur with his song You Be The Sun, edited in limited vinyl edition by Allo Floridee[9] · [10] · [11].
He signed in 2020 with the record label Délicieuse Musique.
In 2021, You Be The Sun was added to the playlist of Los Angeles radio station KCRW and presented on Morning Becomes Eclectic[12]
